West Virginia lawmakers want to give back to Nick Saban by naming a swath of state road near Saban’s childhood home the “Nicholas Lou ‘Nick’ Saban, Jr., Expressway,” according to the Montgomery Advertiser.

That’s going to be a bear to click on a map search while driving.

Saban, who grew up in Fairmont, W.Va., near Morgantown and attended Kent State in Ohio, has coached at Toledo, Michigan State, Louisiana State, the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and Alabama. Never in West Virginia.

It should be noted that Saban’s Tide beat the Mountaineers 33-23 to open the season at the Georgia Dome.

Surely, Alabama and Louisiana will get together to rename the swath of U.S. 84 that passes through Mississippi after Saban.

Then again, Alabama has already given him a statue on campus …
