Georgia Tech senior guard Shaquille Mason and Georgia freshman safety Dominick Sanders were chosen for the Associated Press All-Bowl team.
Mason was the key lineman for the Yellow Jackets as they rushed for an Orange Bowl-record 452 yards in a 49-34 victory against Mississippi State on Dec. 31.
Sanders picked off two passes, returning one of them 40 yards, in the Bulldogs’ 37-14 win over Louisville in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30.
Mason started all 14 of Tech’s games at right guard. He was the Jackets’ top lineman on an offense that rushed for a school-record 4,789 rushing yards.
Sanders started all 13 of Georgia’s games, finishing the season with 34 tackles and three interceptions. He scored on a 54-yard fumble return against Arkansas.
