Atlanta was America’s last city to host summer Olympics.

The United States Olympic Committee has chosen Boston – over San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and two-time Olympic host Los Angeles – as its proposed host for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The pitch? An old city that is brand new to the Olympic movement.

To prove its point, the USOC used a video to highlight some of the great moments from past Olympics, including the last Summer Games to be on American soil, the 1996 Games in Atlanta.

If you’re feeling nostalgic, take a look back (click on image below) of some of the iconic images from the Atlanta Games.
