Fans in the Florida Swamp were calling loudly for coach Will Muschamp to be fired Saturday during the Gators’ 42-13 beat down by Missouri.

Athletics director Jeremy Foley has said Muschamp’s job is under review.

South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier coached the Gators to national dominance from 1990 to 2001. Of course he’d be any list of potential candidates to take over the flailing program.

Asked Tuesday about any possible return to the Sunshine State, Spurrier said he is interested in moving back Florida.

With a smile he told reporters, “I tell everybody my next move is going to be to Crescent Beach, Fla.,” Spurrier said. “That’s where my next move is going to be to.”

The Spurrier family has a beach house on Crescent Beach, south of Jacksonville.
