The helmet worn by Auburn cornerback Chris Davis during the 109-yard return as time expired that beat Alabama in last year’s Iron Bowl is up for auction.

The helmet was used throughout the season, including the Iron Bowl, the SEC title game, the BCS Championship and the Senior Bowl.

The piece of memorabilia was acquired by Goldin Auctions from a Davis family friend, Ken Goldin told ESPN. The helmet is inscribed with “Game Used Iron Bowl 2013” and signed by Davis – now a San Diego Charger.

The item is part of an auction that begins on Oct. 6. Bidding for the helmet starts at $5,000, but Goldin told ESPN he expects bidding to exceed $25,000.

UPDATE: An Auburn alumnus paid $47,190 for the helmet, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

And in case you forgot about the kick-six, relive it now.
